Activities of the Agency


As a result of the implementation of the decision taken by the Belgian Authorities to entrust the Regions of Belgium with all activities related to the promotion of foreign trade, the Belgian Foreign Trade Board has completed its mandate in 2002.

The Belgian Foreign Trade Agency is a public body with a legal status. It was set up through the Co-operation Agreement concluded between the Belgian federal government and the Regional governments (May 2002).

The Agency's main tasks are defined as follows :

• Organization of the joint economic missions - See Calendar 2010 & 2012 +

• Collecting, organising and circulating information, studies and documentation on external markets on behalf of the Regional export promotion organisations.
